I had so much fun at Trivitt’s Arts & Culture Committee’s Phantom of the Opera event last week. If you missed it you can only hope they do something similar again. The 1925 silent film version of the Phantom was screened … yes, really! Accompanying the movie on the organ was Ian Sadler, who added drama and the odd whimsical touch to the Lon Chaney classic. Old fashioned popping corn and hot cider were served to the audience who, for the most part, had ended a heritage tour of Exeter’s downtown at Trivitt. If you’d like to see the album of pictures, follow this link but in the meantime here’s one of my favourite images from the evening.
