Black Polydactyl Kitten, Anyone?

This adorable little girl will be available for adoption following her spay recovery. Check out those brilliant amber eyes – this girl isn’t going to miss a thing! She’s roughly 4 1/2 months old, full of beans and completely vet checked. If you want a cuddle muffin, this isn’t your kitty as she’s very active – and talkative, too! Well, you might get a cuddle out of her once she’s worn out. She came into the studio and wasn’t shy at all. She looked around with great confidence and once she was in front of the camera and distracted with toys she was happy to play and play some more.

She has polydactyl feet which is a little special. Genetically inherited, these cats were really popular among ship crews for their hunting and climbing abilities. Sometimes referred to as Hemingway cats, this genetic trait was favoured by Ernest Hemingway who was given a polydactyl cat by a ship’s captain.

If you’re interested in this little girl, call the Exeter Animal Hospital at 519-235-2662 and see if you’re a match!
